The Tree Lighting

With spiked punch, chips and our good friends around us this evening our early morning endeavers paid off! With Mr. Maher at the switch the lighting of this years Maher Christmas Tree was a huge success!

Let the Christmas season officially begin!

Janie Goes To Grams For Thanksgiving.

After a bath and perm little miss everyone loves me got to go to Grams for Thanksgiving. Sporting her long gray beard she ate twice her weight in turkey! Due to the warmer weather the red sweater planned for the day was not needed!

Turkey Ala Emeril

This year the family gathered at Beth's parents home for Thanksgiving.
Beth's sister Stacey made the turkey using Emeril's famous brine and beer soaked recipe.
It was fantastic!!

The Raising Of The Spicers Grove Christmas Tree

This morning was the morning men in Spicers Grove fear most!
The Staurday morning after Thanksgiving call from Chris rallying every able body man from the ages of three to eighty( we raised it from two and added eighty so Emery could join us) to haul, push and pull the yearly Maher lighted Christmas tree extravaganza into the waiting skies over Spicers Grove.
This years tree is seven foot taller that last years and required additional lights.
A picture of the lighted tree this evening will follow.

Out To Dinner!

Beth and I out to dinner a few weeks ago with her parents. We frequent the local Loghorn Steak House for its salads and great salmon and chicken dishes.

Beth is sporting a new hair cut and I of course had just had my hair colored gray!! I think it makes me look older!
Plus I have been asked to be Santa this year at our annual Christmas get together!

Dressed For The Day!

You have to admit Janie is pretty cute!!!

All dressed up for a busy day.

The Pack!!

Weekend mornings in the kitchen are always crowded as the pack lines up in pecking order for breakfast. Louise, Thelma and Janie!
My father in law jokes that Beth and I have the least amount of pets now in our lives!!!
Beth is under court order to stay at least five miles away from any Pet Smart Store!
