Beth Sarc

On May 23, 2015 I lost my beloved wife and truly better half to cancer.

Leslie Beth (Kahn) Sarc, known simply as Beth to friends and family, passed away at home in Woodstock, Georgia at the age of 51 on Saturday May 23, 2015 after a four-year battle with breast cancer. The graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville was a bright shining light in the lives of friends, family and the countless students whose lives she touched in her job for many years as the popular Education Director at Huntington Learning Center in Marietta, Georgia. As a very young girl she amused and amazed by performing fearless feats from the high diving board at the Oak Ridge Municipal Swimming Pool then later went on to share her talents and gift for fun on the field in the Powder Puff Football League at UTK. For her entire life, which took her from East Tennessee to Cincinnati and ultimately to Metro Atlanta, her intelligence, warmth and good humor were instantly apparent to all who crossed paths with her and she will be lovingly remembered as a gifted piano player with a life-long passion for music who also loved dogs, movies, reading, puzzles & games, traveling, all types of artistic pursuits, and laughing with friends and family.

Beth is survived by her loving husband Ralph Sarc, her mother June Parrish Kahn, her sister Stacey Kahn Denison, all of Woodstock, and her sister Kristy Kahn Moresi of Atlanta; also brothers-in-law George Denison & Peter Moresi, nephews Joseph Moresi, Gabriel Denison & Isaiah Denison, a niece Madalena Moresi, an uncle Sam Parrish and an aunt Carolyn Parrish and cousins Adam Parrish and Eric Parrish.

Beth's love of dogs led her to adopt numerous canine friends over the years and she also helped several others choose their own dogs to adopt in her unofficial role as "dog whisperer"; she will be sorely missed by current canine family members Eva, Marco, Jackson and McCloud.
